After a year of planning and brainstorming and designing, I finally did it – I made a postcard! Try as I might, I could not find a vintage-style postcard of Woodside, NY available anywhere so I decided to make one.
My postcard features an original black and white photo of the 1st Baptist Church of Woodside (now Woodside Community Church) on what is today’s 58th Street between Roosevelt & Woodside Avenues. Known as the “5 Corners of Woodside,” it was a very prominent location in Old Woodside. The photo is taken sometime in the early 20th Century – probably around 1910 -1915, before the elevated train was routed through Woodside.
My postcard is professionally printed on a high-quality heavy stock with a glossy front and a smooth back. It’s available right now in my online store for only $1.40 plus the cost of shipping. For less than two bucks, you get a great deal and the chance to own something truly unique and lovely for a very small price!
It’s a genuine mailable postcard, so you can stick a stamp on it and send it to to a friend as a greeting. It’s only available for a limited time, so take a look here: http://store.vijayrajwani.com
